Privacy Policy
This policy covers the apps and games made by Cortex716 LLC ("we", "us"), a New York company, and this website. The short version: we collect as little as possible, we don't sell data, and each app's section below says exactly what happens.
ClawTV
We collect nothing. ClawTV contains no analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking SDKs, and we don't run a server for it.
What stays on your device
- The playlist (M3U) and guide (XMLTV) URLs you enter
- Your favorites, recently watched channels, pinned guide groups and preferences
- Your parental controls settings. The PIN is stored as a hash, not as the PIN itself.
iCloud sync
ClawTV syncs these settings across your Apple devices using Apple's iCloud key-value storage in your iCloud account. Apple handles that data under Apple's privacy policy. We can't access it.
Network connections
ClawTV connects only to the playlist, guide and stream addresses you give it, and to Apple for purchases. Your IPTV provider will see those requests as they would from any player. We never see your playlist, what you watch or your IP address.
ClawTV doesn't provide any content. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to watch the streams you load.
Wordslot
Wordslot is free and supported by ads. This section describes how it will handle data when it launches. We'll update it if anything changes before release.
Stored on your device
Scores, streaks, daily results, settings and purchase status are saved locally on your device. We don't have an account system.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Wordslot shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address, general location derived from it, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Google's handling of that data is covered by How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
- In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, we ask for your consent before showing personalized ads. You can change your answer later in the game's Settings.
- On iPhone, iOS asks whether you allow tracking. If you say no, you'll only see non-personalized ads.
- Buying "Remove Ads" turns off ads, and with them the ad-related data collection.
Analytics (Google Firebase)
Wordslot uses Google Firebase to learn how the game is played: things like which modes people choose, how long games last, and where players get stuck. Firebase collects an app-instance identifier, device and app information, and these gameplay events. We use this only to improve the game. We don't use it to show ads or sell it to anyone. See Firebase's privacy information.
Purchases
Apple or Google process payments. We only receive confirmation that a purchase happened, never your payment details.
Cold Front
Cold Front is in development. This section describes how it handles data today.
Stored on your device
Your settings, progress, favorite players and a randomly generated player ID are saved on your device.
Online play
When you play online, your device connects through our game relay, which runs on Cloudflare. To list games and connect players, the relay handles:
- Your random player ID and your generated call sign. Players can't type in their own names.
- Game settings and in-match messages. Chat is limited to preset phrases, with no free text.
- Your IP address, used only to route the connection. We don't store it or use it to identify you.
Open-game listings are removed when the game ends or the host leaves. We don't use advertising or third-party analytics in Cold Front.
Purchases
Any in-app purchase is processed by Apple. We only receive confirmation that it happened.
This website
cortex716.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party trackers. It's hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply.
Your choices
- Children. Our apps aren't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
- Access and deletion. We hold very little, but you can ask what we have and ask us to delete it by emailing us. Data held by Apple, Google or your IPTV provider has to be requested from them.
- We don't sell or share your personal information for money.
- Changes. If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the affected app's release notes.
